PlayStation Vue Now Allows Users To Control the “Are You Still Watching?” Message

Recently PlayStation Vue updated its Apple TV app and added a new feature inside the settings.

Now PlayStation Vue subscribers can control when and even if the message asking if you are still there shows up. You can now opt to turn the feature off or set it in one-hour increments all the way to 10 hours.

This feature has several purposes, and it is interesting that PlayStation Vue allows users to turn it off. First, the feature help users with data caps not go over their limit by stopping the stream if they fall asleep. Second, it helps Sony not have hundreds of streams running taxing its system from subscribers who are not actually watching the feed.

Sony has also recently added the ability to control the quality of streams on mobile devices, allowing users to limit the amount of data they use per hour when streaming PlayStation Vue.

For now the Apple TV is the only device we know of with this feature. Have you noticed this on a different device? Leave us a comment and let us know.
