PlayStation Vue Just Redesigned its Website to Promote It Works on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV & More

Today Sony rolled out an updated website for PlayStation Vue that seems to be aimed at reducing confusion over the name. This brand new version of PlayStationVue.com clearly promotes the fact that you don’t need a PlayStation to watch PlayStation Vue. Strangely a PlayStation console is not even listed on the home page now you need to click on the see supported devices list to find the PlayStation listed there.

“Get the PS Vue app on your favorite devices like Amazon Fire TV, Roku® players, Apple TV®, your mobile device, web, and more. No PlayStation® console ever required.” Sony now proudly states as the first thing you see when you scroll down. Long gone is anything promoting the PlayStation and you won’t even find an image of a PlayStation console on the home page.

Since PlayStation Vue launched the name has confused many. Repeatedly Cord Cutters News has heard from readers how they would have gotten PlayStation Vue but they don’t have a PlayStation. Now it seems that Sony has taken note of this and is trying to address it by removing all mention of the PlayStation console from the Playstation Vue home page.

Here are some other interesting notes from the new PlayStation Vue website:

✔ Live Streaming HD Channels
✔ Powerful Cloud DVR
✔ 5 Simultaneous Streams
✔ Thousands of On Demand Shows
✔ 10 Viewing Profiles with Personalized DVR
