PlayStation Vue is Rolling Out an Updated Roku Channel

roku premiereToday PlayStation Vue started to roll out an updated Roku Channel with a slightly updated user interface. This update brings improvements to the Roku Channel and a new guide.

If you have an older Roku or a Roku Express you may notice that the guide is simplified and the channel playing in the background has been removed. With this simplified guide on the Roku Express and older Roku’s you can now only see what is coming on next. No longer do older Roku’s have the ability to look hours or days into the future on the guide.

Also, many PlayStation Vue subscribers are reporting they lost their favorites on the PlayStation Vue Roku Channel. You can still select a date in the future if you want to try and jump forward a few days but you can no longer just scroll forward. This has understandably left man upset about the change.

Some readers are reporting they have lost their DVR recordings. There is a simple fix for this close out of the PlayStation Vue Roku Channel and restart it to find your DVRed shows. If that does not work reboot your Roku by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
