PlayStation Vue is Moving Some Discovery Owned Networks to More Expensive Packages

Today PlayStation Vue posted a warning on its website that they are moving Destination America and the Science Channel from the Access Plan to the Elite Plan. The good news is if you like MotorTrend it will be joining the Access Plan for all PlayStation Vue subscribers.

This change will happen in September 2019. No exact date was announced, but recently Sony has been making changes like this on the first of the month.

Here is the message Sony posted on the PlayStation Vue website:

September 2019

• Destination America and Science Channel are moving from Access Plan to Elite Plan
  • Access and Core subscribers will lose Destination America and Science Channel. All of their associated On Demand and DVR content will no longer be viewable. If you wish to continue watching Destination America and Science Channel subscribers will need to upgrade to Elite Plan or above.
• MotorTrend will become available in the Access Plan and may be enjoyed by all plan subscribers.

Sony did not comment about why the change is being made.
