Latin woman looking disappointed at her laptopscreen, sitting behind her desk at the office.Late tonight around 11 PM Eastern PlayStation Vue started to notify customers that Sinclair owned local affiliates including ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC are being pulled from PlayStation Vue on May 1st, 2018. This also means in the morning when you woke up any DVRed shows will have been deleted. Sony said in their email that an On-Demand version of the channel will be added to your lineup.

Here is the email sent to subscribers last night:

We are writing to inform you that on 5/1/18, the (ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC local in your area) live local broadcast channel in your area will be replaced with an On Demand version of the channel. The On-Demand version of the channel offers a library of current and top programming. However, live and DVR programming will no longer be viewable.

Many subscribers are understandably upset by the lack of notice. Now PlayStation Vue subscribers have to hope that the shows they recorded from their local Sinclair station will be on the new On-Demand version.

Sony has not said why Sinclair locals are being removed from PlayStation Vue.
