PlayStation Vue Improves Its DVR

One of PlayStation Vue’s biggest selling points is its DVR, and now Sony has made it even better.

Recently PlayStation Vue has quietly changed how its DVR works. Now if you record a sports event, it will automatically add 50 minutes additional recording time at the end of the event. This is done to make sure that the recording gets the full event.

We are not sure when this first started happening. Some have said it is brand-new, but one poster said this started during the NBA season. No matter when it started, it is a huge selling point over other streaming services.

While many services have added DVR such as Sling TV and fuboTV, others such as DIRECTV NOW still do not have a DVR. Often when cord cutters talk about DVR, they look at PlayStation Vue as an example of how to do it right.

Sadly there is still no way to manually tell PlayStation Vue to add extra time to a recording. Many still complain that the DVR on PlayStation Vue still cuts off the end of some programs. Hopefully this is just the start of many improvements coming to PlayStation Vue and its DVR.
