PlayStation Vue Has the Most Satisfied Subscribers Beating Out Sling TV & YouTube TV

Today the ACSI released their yearly American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) giving us a look at the current state of live TV streaming. According to that report, PlayStation Vue was the live TV streaming service with the most satisfied customers.

“Video streaming once again proves itself to be the best of the telecom industries in customer satisfaction,” said David VanAmburg, Managing Director at the ACSI. “Traditional telecom providers have tried to step up their game, but they’re not providing original content the way video streaming is, and in part, they suffer guilt by association—if customers aren’t satisfied overall with Comcast, they’re probably going to ding Comcast’s on-demand service too.”

Here is the breakdown of the top 5 live TV streaming services on the satisfaction index.

*Note: The study ended in March 2019 just before DIRECTV NOW’s price hike went into effect. We do not know how that price change will affect these results until next years study. Sadly the ACSI did not list fuboTV, Philo, and other live TV streaming services in the copy of the report Cord Cutters News received. The report also did not separate YouTube and Hulu’s on-demand services from their live TV services.

The good news for all live TV streaming services is the fact that the top 4 live TV streaming services all had better or equal satisfaction when compared to traditional pay TV. According to the ACSI, the best pay-TV service was U-verse TV with 69% satisfaction. Overall though, the average cable company had just 62% satisfaction, but the average streaming service (both on-demand and live TV) had an average satisfaction of 76%.

Very clearly, streaming results in customers who are far happier with their experience versus traditional cable TV.
