PlayStation Vue Is Giving Away Free Upgrades to Some Subscribers This Weekend

Are you subscriber to PlayStation Vue? Well you may soon be one of the lucky subscribers to get a free upgrade to PlayStation Vue Elite.

PlayStation Vue has randomly been selecting subscribers to Access Slim and Core Slim to get an upgrade to the $54.99 a month Elite Slim plan that includes 90-plus HD channels for the weekend. The deal is good and will cost subscribers nothing extra. After the free upgrade ends, their accounts will automatically be returned to the plan they had before the free upgrade.

This is not the first time Sony has been giving away free PlayStation Vue upgrades to subscribers. In the past, Sony has offered these deals anywhere from just a weekend to 3 months of an upgrade.  Now we do have one reader who sent us a screenshot of his account showing he will get the upgrade until January 2018:Cord Cutters News did contact Sony for comment, but Sony never replied to our request for comment. So we do not know why suddenly it is once again sending out the free upgrades. Though the timing could be an effort to fight off new entries in the market, DIRECTV NOW, Hulu, Charter, CenturyLink, and YouTube TV along with older ones like Sling TV.

While we may not know why, if you are one of the lucky subscribers to get the upgrade you can now enjoy a free taste of Elite Slim.
