PlayStation Vue Announces a New Sports Add-on With 14 Sports Channels

Today PlayStation Vue announced a new $10 a month sports package. In the past, many of these channels had been a part of PlayStation Vue but now are being moved to a $10 a month sports package.

We just posted an update to this story with even more details HERE.

For a $10/month add-on to your monthly Core, Elite, or Ultra plan, the new PlayStation Vue Sports Pack includes the following channels available nationwide:

In the past channels like ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Bases Loaded had been included with any PS Vue subscription through the WatchESPN app. Now it looks like you need to pay extra for these apps.

What is new is the fact that you can now get CSN and NBC Sports nets nationwide. (If I am reading their announcement right.) This also gives Longhorn fans access to Longhorn Network outside of the Texas and Oklahoma markets they had been limited to in the past.

We have reached out to Sony to ask if subscribers who live in CSN Chicago or Longhorn Network markets (for example) will still get the channels or will they need to pay an $10 extra to still get the channels.

On their site today Sony said “With PlayStation Vue, we strive to deliver the best TV experience, and have made numerous upgrades since launching our service two years ago. For avid sports fans and those new to the PS Vue service, we’ve put together a recap of some of the top features and enhancements that make the sports viewing experience even better.”
