PlayStation Vue Is Adding Comet TV, the Tennis Channel, & More Locals

This week Sinclair Broadcasting Group announced that they struck a new deal with Sony, which will bring more ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC Sinclair-owned affiliates to PlayStation Vue.

The deal did not stop there. PlayStation Vue will add Comet TV, Sinclair’s 24/7 sci-fi network that includes shows such as “Stargate SG1,” “The Outer Limits,” “Stargate Atlantis,” “Andromeda,” and many other classic sci-fi shows and movies.

The deal also gives PlayStation Vue access to the Tennis Channel and its 24/7 coverage of professional tennis.

No dates have been set for when these networks will go live, but a Sinclair representative did confirm to Cord Cutters News that the deal is done and Sinclair-owned affiliates, Comet TV, and the Tennis Channel are all coming to PlayStation Vue.

Here is a statement that Sinclair sent to Cord Cutters News:

In October, the (Sinclair Broadcasting Group) entered into an agreement with Sony Vue under which Sony Vue will include Sinclair’s ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliate station broadcasts as well as Tennis, MyNetworkTV and Comet on their platform.

This will make PlayStation Vue the second live TV streaming service to add Comet TV and the third to have the Tennis Channel.
