Philo’s subscriber count continues to grow, now reaching 750,000 subscribers, up 300% year over year.

On Wednesday, Discovery CEO David Zaslov shared during the company’s quarterly earnings call that Philo has been a valuable partner for Discovery which carries Discovery networks including The Discovery Channel, HTGV, and OWN.

With its growth over the past year, and based on the streaming service’s partner data, Philo is the fastest growing Virtual Multichannel Video Programming Distributor (vMVPD) for the first half of 2020.

Just within the past few months, Philo has added getTV and INSP to the channel lineup, as well as TV One, and begun offering Chromecast support, while keeping its monthly cost at just $20 for 60 channels.

“As the proliferation of streaming services and the battle for the share of consumer dollars gets tougher, we have always believed that there is a strong demand for live television from beloved brands at an affordable price and Philo continues to be well positioned to deliver on this consumer need,” Philo shared in a statement to Cord Cutters News.
