Peloton Now Offers a Free Streaming Service

Changes are coming to Peloton as the popular workout app introduces three new plan tiers. Prices range from free to $24 per month, depending on which features members want. Plans provide easy access to expert instructors and a vast library of content featuring cycling, yoga, meditation, walking, and strength training classes fit for all ages and fitness levels.

The Peloton App Free tier offers a rotating set of 50+ classes across 12 of Peloton’s modalities, enabling users to match their workouts to their interests.

The Peloton App One tier offers unlimited access to thousands of classes across nine modalities in addition to classes available in the App Free tier. Includes new live and on-demand classes daily in addition to Peloton Challenges, Programs, and Collections. Members can attend three equipment-based cardio classes each month. This tier is $12.99 per month or $129 annually.

The Peloton App+ tier grants unlimited access to almost all of Pelton’s class library. Lanebreak and Scenic classes are not included, though this tier unlocks thousands of equipment-based cardio classes as well as exclusive access to the latest specialty content. It runs customers $24 a month or $240 per year.

“With this brand relaunch, we’re reflecting the vibrancy and fullness of everything Peloton has to offer to everyone. We’re shifting perceptions from in-home to everywhere, fitness enthusiasts to people at all levels, exclusivity to inclusivity across all Peloton Members present and future,” said Leslie Berland, Peloton’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Our Instructors and Members live and breathe the true Peloton experience every day. We’re excited to bring that energy and inspiration out into the world.”

In an announcement Peloton made yesterday, the company also revealed its newest content feature, which is available on all membership tiers. The Peloton Gym provides written instructions for floor-based workouts accompanied by a demo video.

Sources say the new changes are part of Peloton’s plan to rely less on hardware sales and shift its focus more to revenue services after earning almost $290 million from subscriptions in the most recent quarter.

The new features and tiers are available starting today.
