Peacock and WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings, have unveiled a landmark multi-year partnership to bring the iconic Saturday Night’s Main Event series exclusively to Peacock. The agreement marks a significant expansion of the collaboration between WWE and NBCUniversal, reinforcing Peacock’s position as a premier destination for wrestling fans.
Under the terms of the deal, Saturday Night’s Main Event will stream live in primetime exclusively on Peacock four times annually, showcasing WWE’s biggest Superstars, intense rivalries, high-stakes championship matches, and electrifying moments that have defined the series for decades. The first event of this new era is slated for November 1, 2025, with a second show scheduled for December 13, 2025, featuring a monumental moment in wrestling history: John Cena’s retirement match. Fans can expect a thrilling lineup of WWE’s top talent, delivering the action-packed entertainment the series is known for.
“We’re excited to bring Saturday Night’s Main Event exclusively to Peacock beginning this fall,” said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. “NBCU have been terrific longtime partners, and we look forward to continuing to work with them for years to come.”
The partnership also ensures that the extensive WWE Network library will remain available on Peacock through the end of 2025, giving fans access to decades of wrestling history, including classic matches, documentaries, and original programming. Additionally, NXT Premium Live Events will continue to stream on Peacock until March 2026. The SmackDown library will be available on Peacock with a 30-day delay, while USA Network remains the exclusive live home of SmackDown every Friday night.
Saturday Night’s Main Event first premiered on NBC in 1985, becoming a cultural phenomenon with its blend of larger-than-life characters, dramatic storylines, and unforgettable moments. The series ran until 1991 and made a celebrated return in September 2024 with a special event broadcast on both NBC and Peacock from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York—the same venue that hosted the inaugural Saturday Night’s Main Event. The return event rekindled nostalgia while setting the stage for this new chapter of exclusive streaming on Peacock.
This partnership underscores WWE’s commitment to evolving its content delivery while maintaining its deep ties with NBCUniversal. For Peacock, the addition of Saturday Night’s Main Event strengthens its sports and entertainment offerings, providing subscribers with exclusive access to some of WWE’s most anticipated events. As the wrestling world gears up for the November 1 kickoff and Cena’s farewell match on December 13, anticipation is building for what promises to be a new golden era for Saturday Night’s Main Event on Peacock.
