Peacock Adds Excellence! Collection To Its Lineup

NBCUniversal has officially launched a new content collection called ExcellencE! on its streaming platform, Peacock, aimed at providing subscribers with a dedicated space for diverse, cross-cultural programming. This initiative is part of an expanded partnership with mission-driven media company Group Black, which seeks to elevate diverse voices in media.

Subscribers to Peacock can now access thousands of hours of inclusive programming, including popular titles such as “Bel-Air,” “Martin,” and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” NBCUniversal plans to enhance the ExcellencE! collection with additional original content set to debut in 2025.

This launch builds on the successful Black Excellence 365 program initiated in 2023, which saw over 30 brands collaborate to support Black-led and diverse content throughout the year.

Val Boreland, executive vice president of content acquisitions for NBCUniversal Entertainment, emphasized the significance of this collection: “NBCUniversal’s deep library of inclusive programming is the perfect launching pad for the new ExcellencE! collection on Peacock. Together with Group Black, we are bringing thousands of hours of diverse-led content to a curated destination, enabling our audiences to better explore cultural conversations through storytelling.”

Cavel Khan, chief growth officer of Group Black, added, “ExcellencE! on Peacock will champion authentic voices and stories that reflect audiences’ experiences everywhere. This collection embodies what excellence stands for – a platform where multicultural perspectives can thrive.”

With the launch of ExcellencE!, Peacock is solidifying its commitment to diversity and inclusion in entertainment, providing a vital platform for multicultural narratives that resonate with audiences.
