PBS Names Linda Simensky Head of Content for PBS KIDS

Today, PBS announced that Linda Simensky has been promoted to the new role of Head of PBS KIDS Content.

As trends in how kids content is created and delivered continues to evolve, Simensky will be an in important role in leading the development of a multi-platform video content strategy for PBS KIDS. This role will involve developing new approaches for bringing educational and entertaining content to emerging platforms with the goal of engaging kids and supporting their learning.

Simensky will be leading the content team at PBS KIDS as they continue to bring programs representing a new generation of children to the PBS primary channels and PBS KIDS 24/7 channel.

Simensky has been working for PBS since 2003. In that time, she has helped to develop hit shows that now reach 72% of all kids ages 2-8 in the U.S. on television and 10.9 million digital content viewers.

Prior to working with PBS Kids, Simensky was Senior Vice President of Original Animation for Cartoon Network, and before that worked at Nickelodeon where she helped launch the popular series “Rugrats,” “Doug” and “The Ren & Stimpy Show.”
