Paramount+’s Showtime Bundle For Just $9.99? It’s Likely a Glitch Sadly…

Yesterday Paramount+ started to contact customers of its Showtime bundle to inform them of a price change. In the email, Paramount+ said the new price of the Paramount+ and Showtime bundle would be just $9.99 starting at the subscriber’s next bill. This has left many to scratch their heads as this price is the same as the regular just Paramount+ ad-free plan.

Cord Cutters News reached out to Paramount for comment on this, but Paramount+ did not reply in time for this publication.

As best that we can see, these emails are sadly a glitch and just show the base package price, not the cost for the Showtime bundle. When looking at Paramount+’s website, they still list the price of the bundle at just $11.99 a month.

Here is an example of the emails going out to affected customers:

This email is to confirm the recent change made to your Paramount+ subscription plan.

Your plan: Premium (Monthly)
Add On: Showtime
Plan Price: $9.99
Next invoice date: May 5, 2023

Earlier this year, we learned that after Showtime and Paramount+ merge, the price of Paramount+ will go up in the 3rd quarter of 2023. At the same time Paramount+ announced that it would lower the price of the Paramount+ with Showtime bundle, your price will go down from $14.99 a month to $11.99 a month. It seems unlikely that they would drop the price again just a few months later.

This bundle gives you full access to Paramount+ and Showtime for just $11.99, making it an excellent deal for cord cutters who want both services.

If you do not have the Showtime bundle, your price, for now, will be unchanged until Paramount+ and Showtime merge in the 3rd quarter.
