Paramount+ Will Integrate Showtime Content, Starting This Summer

Paramount wants to make it easier to watch all of its content by combining Paramount+ and Showtime into one app. Subscribers will be able to sign up for Showtime within the Paramount+ app and easily watch content from both in the same app.

The merged service will debut this summer and the services will still be available separately as well. The new service will cost $12 a month for the ad-supported tier of Paramount+ and Showtime., with an ad-free version available for $15.

The news was shared during ViacomCBS’ investor event Tuesday by Streaming President & CEO Tom Ryan. “Our existing bundle, of Paramount Plus and Showtime, has performed very well out of the gate. That’s because users can access two premium content offerings, with streamlined sign-up, but viewed in distinct apps. Starting this summer, we’re making Showtime even easier to access in one app experience,” Ryan said.

Describing the update, Ryan said, “You’ll be able to simply upgrade your Paramount Plus subscription to a bundle that includes the Showtime service and then view all that content in a single user experience. And then, when you’re done watching ‘Mayor of Kingstown,’ you’ll be able to move immediately to the next season of ‘Billions’ –- without ever leaving the Paramount Plus app.”
