Cord Cutters News

Paramount Vault Posts Classic Movies Free on YouTube

Love classic Paramount movies? We have great news for you! Paramount has started posting classic movies like There Goes the Neighborhood and Hamlet to name just two on YouTube through their Paramount Vault account.

They are constantly adding new movies and clips of other classic movies to the channel. However, it is similar to other free services: what is there today may be gone tomorrow.

This is a great move on Paramount’s part, taking older movies that many people may not even know about and putting them on YouTube to bring in a new audience and revenue from ads. Even the addition of high quality clips and trailers for older movies could spark new interest for Paramount as it gives cord cutters just one more option for free content.

Hopefully this service will be successful and bring other major production houses to YouTube or to offer their content free with ads in some other way. Even if you are not a huge Paramount fan we would encourage you to give it a try and show your support for a studio willing to look outside traditional channels for their content.

Paramount has a long history of giving their content away free through ad supported services like Tubi TV. Hopefully we have yet to see the full extent of their plans to make their full catalog of movies and TV shows available to the public.
