Paramount+ Removes Docuseries From Vice

Paramount+ is removing a number of programs from its content library. As of June 27th, twenty one shows have been quietly eliminated from the streaming platform following Paramount’s merger with Showtime.

Now, VICE fans will no longer be able to binge the series on Paramount+. TVLine reports the Primetime Emmy Award nominated documentary series was removed earlier this week. VICE had a long run on HBO Max and Showtime, debuting in 2013, but didn’t last long  on the streaming service after the merger. The docuseries focuses on covering groundbreaking stories worldwide hosted by Shane Smith.

Last week, the streaming service removed the docuseries Cradle to Stage along with comedy show Inside Amy Schumer, and thriller anthology Tell Me A Story.  Crime thriller Blood & Treasure and docuseries Ghislaine are gone as well. Paramount+ also canceled several original series, including Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, Queen of the Universe, and The Game.

Seventeen Nickelodeon series have vanished as well. All In With Cam Newton, Allegra’s Window, Becca’s Bunch, Bella and the Bulldogs, Crashletes, Digby Dragon, The Fresh Beat Band, The Halo Effect, Legendary Dudas, Monsters vs. Aliens, Mutt & Stuff, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Peter Rabbit, Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Ride, and The Troop have all been removed from Paramount+.

Television series and films are periodically sifted through streaming services, some of these titles may pop up elsewhere. More series and films are likely to be added to this growing list as the two streaming services settle into their new partnership.

While there are a lot of titles leaving Paramount+, the streaming service is ready to fill those spots throughout July. Paramount+ has already announced it will be adding hundreds of new series and films to its catalog, including Big Nate’s second season, Goliath, I Wanna Rock: The ‘80s Metal Dream, Special Ops: Lioness, and Zoey 102
