Paramount+ Releases Trailer for Reboot of Frasier

Paramount+ revealed the official trailer for its new original series, Frasier, a semi-reboot/continuation of the class show from the ‘90s. Kelsey Grammer reprises his Emmy Award-winning role as Frasier Crane.

Before the series premiere on October 12, Paramount+ will give fans a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the show with a half-hour special called Frasier: Inside The Series. Host Kevin Frazier (Entertainment Tonight) will showcase interviews with the cast and creators of the series. Catch a glimpse into the inner workings of the production on October 6 on Paramount+, YouTube, Pluto TV, Mixible, and the show’s Facebook page. Select CBS stations nationwide will broadcast Frasier: Inside the Series on October 7.

The first season consists of ten episodes catching fans up with Frasier in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston “with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill.”

Jack Cutmore-Scott joins the cast as Frasier’s son Freddy and Jess Salgueiro as his roommate Eve. Anders Keith is Frasier’s nephew, David. Nicholas Lyndhurst plays Alan, Frasier’s old college buddy working as a university professor. Toks Olagundoye is Olivia, head of the university’s psychology department.

Frasier is written by Chris Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Joe Cristalli (Life in Pieces). Both serve as executive producers alongside Kelsey Grammer, Tom Rusoo, and Jordan McMahon. The first two episodes are directed by James Burrows of Cheers, Frasier, Will & Grace, and Dear John fame.

Frasier was filmed in front of a live audience. Check out the trailer for the new series and log on to Paramount+ on October 12, when the first two episodes stream back to back. International audiences can catch the show starting October 13. CBS will start broadcasting episodes on October 17 at 9:15 p.m. ET. New episodes will air on Thursdays in the U.S. and Canada and Fridays internationally.
