On the morning on May 30th SkyStreamTV spoke with a representative of Omniverse One World Television Inc and were told that they are shutting off residential service on May 31, 2019.
This is obviously not ideal for our loyal customers. We do not have any say in this matter as Omniverse has full control of distributing the channel streams and have made the decision to turn them off.
SkyStreamTV has ceased all current and future dealings with Omniverse One World Television Inc at the time of this press release.
We deeply apologize to our loyal customers and will continue to look for other Live TV offerings.
Update: Omnigo a TV streaming service reportedly run directly by Omniverse is now listed as “Currently Unavailable.”
Update #2: Omniverse’s website now just says “website under construction.” (First spotted by Lightreading.com)
This all comes after the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) filed a lawsuit saying Omniverse the company that powers many live TV streaming services including the HDHomeRun Premium TV, SkyStream TV, TikiLive, and more allowing them to access channels like ESPN and Disney do not have the rights to this content. ACE’s members include some of the biggest names in TV and many others with the goal of protecting their works.
Back when the lawsuit was first announced Omniverse has also released a statement responding to the lawsuit saying:
While Omniverse disagrees with the substance and the specifics of the allegations made against the company in a recent California court filing, we are highly supportive of the mission that the plaintiffs and their partners in the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) are carrying out. Omniverse believes there is no place in the industry for media pirates and, consistent with the plaintiffs, believes their legitimate business has been harmed by the unlicensed distribution of media content.
Consistent with our shared goals for the industry, Omniverse intends to engage quickly and constructively with the plaintiffs and their legal counsel to resolve their concerns with Omniverse’s business and where possible support them in their greater goal of eliminating piracy from our industry. It is our belief that when this process is complete, that both sides will be satisfied with the outcome.

Update: After looking at court records the court hearing scheduled for the lawsuit was vacated as Judge Dolly Gee ruled that no oral arguments a decision could be made on Omniverse’s motion without oral arguments.
