The company has now confirmed that Amazon is working on solution to resolve 4K streaming issues. 9to5 Google first reported that Nvidia staff chimed in on the company’s forum this week, letting users know that the update will be coming soon with this message:
“Amazon has started rolling out the new app to SHIELD devices, the first step to getting UHD back. It’s gone to roughly 1% of the devices so far and will take around 5 days to get to everyone. They target re enabling UHD playback after the full rollout of the new app happens which should be early next week.”
9to5 Google reports that the most recent update has already rolled out on some devices. Some Nvidia Shield have found that updating the app on their devices has solved the problem. Those who haven’t gotten the update yet should expect it within the next few days.
