No, Netflix is Not Giving Out Free Passes: Avoid This Scam

Netflix N LogoIn the latest scam to hit the internet, messages are circulating on social media, saying that Netflix is giving out free passes as a response to coronavirus. The messages include a link to click for free access. Some are getting the message directly, while others are seeing it being shared on social media.

Business Insider has confirmed with a Netflix spokesperson that Netflix is not offering free passes. This is just another scheme to take advantage of people during the coronavirus pandemic.

The same messaging is also reportedly being sent out through text messages, again with a link included. If you receive a message like this on Facebook, Twitter, or in a text message, know that it is not a legitimate offer and do not click the link.

If Netflix does create an offer for those staying home during the coronavirus pandemic, we’ll be sure to share that information on Cord Cutters News.
