Nickelodeon Will Air a Super Bowl Pregame Show Geared Towards Kids

Nickelodeon is once again dabbling in the NFL market, this time going big with the Super Bowl. The network announced it’s tapping into the kid-friendly audience with its “Nickelodeon Super Duper Super Bowl Pregame Spectacular,” set to air ahead of Super Bowl LV.

Fans can watch the half-hour show on Nickelodeon on Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It will also air again multiple times that weekend. The pregame show will be hosted by Gabrielle Nevaeh Green and Lex Lumpkin – both Nickelodeon stars, and feature season highlights, predictions, and more, all in a “Nick-ified” format that’s fun for kids.

“We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with Nickelodeon and build off the success and overwhelming positive response from the production of the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon,” said Sean McManus, chairman, CBS Sports. “The ‘Nick-ified’ elements in our pregame and halftime programming, along with the second screen digital and social highlights, will be the perfect complement to CBS Sports’ first-class broadcast of Super Bowl LV, allowing us to reach an even wider audience on Super Bowl Sunday across a variety of platforms as we continue to showcase the power of the ViacomCBS family.”

Super Bowl LV kicks off Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. ET, with the Kansas City Chiefs playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This second collab with the NFL comes after Nickelodeon aired a very successful Wild Card game with the Chicago Bears v. New Orleans Saints. The NFL game broadcast was the network’s most-watched program in four years and had kids and parents alike entertained.
