Newsmax Inc., announced today the appointment of David Gandler, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FuboTV Inc. (NYSE: FUBO), to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Gandler’s addition brings the board to six members, joining CEO Christopher Ruddy, former U.S. Secretary of Labor Alex Acosta, Ambassador Nancy Brinker, Christopher Nixon Cox, and Ambassador Paula J. Dobriansky.

Christopher Ruddy, CEO of Newsmax, expressed enthusiasm about Gandler’s appointment, citing his extensive experience in the streaming and media industries. “We are excited to add David Gandler to the Newsmax Board of Directors,” Ruddy stated. “David’s achievements as an entrepreneur in the streaming and media industries will bring fresh perspective as we continue to expand our global reach, including through our streaming service Newsmax+. His success in building Fubo from startup to a leading operator in the space demonstrates the visionary leadership that will help Newsmax reach new audiences in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.”

Gandler, who co-founded FuboTV in 2015, has led the company to become a prominent player in the streaming industry, offering a platform that aggregates premium sports, news, and entertainment content. FuboTV went public on the New York Stock Exchange in October 2020 and has since been recognized as one of The Americas’ Fastest-Growing Companies by the Financial Times in 2025 and featured on Forbes’ Next Billion Dollar Startups list in 2019. Prior to Fubo, Gandler built a robust career in media and advertising, with over 15 years of experience in video sales at companies such as Scripps Networks Interactive, Time Warner Cable Media Sales, and NBCUniversal’s Telemundo Media.

Commenting on his new role, Gandler expressed admiration for Newsmax’s leadership and mission. “I have long admired and respected Christopher Ruddy and his principled approach to journalism,” Gandler said. “Today’s 24/7 news cycle demands media companies deliver trusted information rapidly and through multiple distribution channels. I look forward to working with Chris and his Board of Directors to unlock new opportunities for Newsmax that will deepen audience engagement and accelerate growth.”

Beyond his role at Fubo, Gandler is an influential figure in global sports and media. Through his Gandler Sports Group (GSG), he holds a majority ownership stake in Leyton Orient F.C., a professional soccer team in England’s EFL League One, and previously co-owned Paris FC. He also serves on the board of the Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and is a member of the Paley Media Council. Gandler’s achievements have earned him recognition as one of Sports Business Journal’s Power Players in Sports Streaming (2025), Goldman Sachs’ 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs (2019), and Variety’s Dealmakers (2019, 2020).

Newsmax, known for its cable news channel, digital platforms, and streaming service Newsmax+, continues to expand its footprint in the competitive media landscape. Gandler’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster the company’s innovation and audience engagement efforts, particularly in the rapidly growing streaming sector.
