Now they have once again brought back a common scam, but they are targeting Netflix subscribers.
If you get an email from Netflix with a subject line of “Your suspension notification” it is a scam email.
The emails asks you to click a link and re-enter your credit card information to restart your membership. Do not do it!
This scam is not new, and in recent weeks there has been a flood of reports of scammers bringing back this common scam email.
It’s also not just targeting Netflix owners. We have received word of spam emails targeting Roku users. These emails work in a similar way asking subscribers to reenter their credit card info.
This is in addition to all the fake tech support scams that are out there when you google tech support.
So what should you do?
Anytime you are concerned about your account do not click any links. Go directly to Netflix or Roku’s website and log in to your account there. Make sure you skip any links you get in an email.
If you think you may have been tricked, contact your bank and let them know what happened.
