Netflix Will No Longer Accept Payments From Apple

shutterstock_netflix streaming ipad

Are you one of the Netflix customers who still pay your Netflix bill through Apple? For years now, Netflix has not accepted new subscribers or rejoined members who want to use Apple to pay their bills. If you already had an active account, though, that paid through Apple you could continue to do so. Now, though, that seems to be coming to an end.

Today, Netflix started to inform customers that Apple will no longer be accepting Apple Pay through iTunes Subscriptions, for example.

Update: Netflix has confirmed this change to basic plan members in the United States and Canada. Not all customers will be impacted.

Many companies have over the years stopped accepting payments through Apple and other third-party payment services because Apple and others take a cut of the payment. It is unknown exactly why Netflix would decide to stop taking Apple payments now and how many are still paying through Apple.

If you are impacted by this, Netflix is contacting you by email, asking you to update your payment. Please take a moment to carefully review the email to make sure it is real and from Netflix. You may want to consider visiting Netflix.com directly to update your payment to avoid clicking on any scam email links.
