Boxing returns to Netflix with the conclusion of one of the sport’s most highly anticipated trilogies. On Friday, July 11, Katie Taylor (24–1, 6 KOs) and Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (47–3–1, 31 KOs) will settle the score once and for all, headlining the first-ever all-women’s professional boxing card, Taylor vs. Serrano 3, in Madison Square Garden. This will be the second boxing event streamed on Netflix after last year’s Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event.
Serrano and Taylor were part of the undercard during Paul vs. Tyson, and Taylor edged out a razor-thin split decision that night. With 108 million viewers streaming that night, many fans left feeling that Taylor vs Serrano 2 was an instant classic and were clamoring for more after going the distance for 10 two-minute rounds.
Notably, the pair first fought in 2022 at Madison Square Garden in the first women’s boxing match to headline at the venue. Taylor, the undisputed super lightweight champion, won the first match against Serrano, the unified featherweight world champion, by split decision after it went the distance.
Everything is on the line for this epic conclusion as Netflix continues its foray into live sports. This high-stakes showdown will stream globally on the platform for no additional cost to subscribers. Boxing enthusiasts can subscribe to Netflix for as low as $7.99 per month to watch this rematch, thousands of movies, shows, and originals on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and many other compatible devices.
Netflix continues to transform its content with more live events and sports. Paul vs. Tyson was plagued with technical issues, which led to a Florida man suing the streamer. Since then, Netflix has streamed the NFL on Christmas Day without any issues and continuously streams WWE Raw live every Monday night. It appears that the platform has fixed its issues to account for the surge of viewers during its live events, and Taylor-Serrano should be a knockout of an event.
Mark your calendars for Friday, July 20, and watch history when Taylor and Serrano step between the ropes live on Netflix.
