Netflix Sets New Records in 3rd Quarter 2015

NetflixBuilding4Netflix is setting new all-time records for streaming and data usage. With over 2 billion hours streamed every month and over 6,000,000,000 GB of data streamed every month Netflix is a massive force to be reckoned with.

This all comes as Netflix continues to grow to over 65 million subscribers and plans to be available in every country by the end of 2016. With plans to quickly expand to areas like South Korea and Taiwan, Netflix is on a path to make 6,000,000,000 GB every month look small in a few years with these growth numbers.

It is already estimated that Netflix uses about 37% of all Internet traffic, and video as a whole tops 50% of all Internet traffic (). With this growth you can probably expect to see that number skyrocket in the years to come as more and more people ditch cable TV in favor of streaming their content online.

What is surprising is these numbers are just for Netflix, we have not even looked at YouTube, Amazon, Hulu, and hundreds of other smaller services like Sling TV.

With Netflix seeing such high use it is easy to see why many other servicers are trying to jump on the streaming market to try and grab some of the increasingly lucrative streaming market.
