Netflix Renews ‘Bridgerton’ for Seasons 3 & 4

Good news, Bridgerton fans. Netflix has renewed the show for two more seasons. The series was renewed for season two in January and production has started, following the huge success of season one.

Netflix shared the news on the official Bridgerton Twitter account Tuesday morning.

“From the first time I read Julia Quinn’s delicious Bridgerton series, I knew these were stories that would captivate a viewing audience,” executive producer Shonda Rhimes said in a statement. “But the evolution of this adaptation would not be a success without the many significant contributions of the entire Shondaland team. This two-season pickup is a strong vote of confidence in our work and I feel incredibly grateful to have partners as collaborative and creative as Netflix. Betsy and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue bringing the world of Bridgerton to a worldwide audience.”

Season 1 of Bridgerton followed the relationship of Daphne and the Duke of Hastings. Season 2 will focus on Daphne’s brother Anthony Bridgerton’s and his search for his own partner as the season follows the second book of Quinn’s Bridgerton series, The Viscount Who Loved Me. If the following seasons continue in the same pattern, we’ll be seeing storylines based on An Offer from a Gentleman and Romancing Mister Bridgerton and could see season for all eight novels in the series.
