Netflix Is About to Release a Massive Update to Their Netflix App

Netflix_Web_LogoNetflix is about to release a massive update to their Android app. Android Police first spotted the beta that was briefly uploaded to the Google Play Store.

The beta Netflix App includes two massive updates that should help any Android user.

Data Saver

Although this is not completely new because a data saver option has shown up in a Netflix app, it looks like it will be more aggressive in helping people use Netflix and stay under their data caps. It also takes a prominent spot in the app for more users to find.

Hopefully this time it is here for good and will help people stay under painfully small data caps.

Google Pay

Apple users have been able to pay for Netflix through iTunes for some time now. Now it looks like Google users will be able to do the same thing soon.

In the past Netflix was unwilling to give up the 30% of their subscription that Google and iTunes wanted. Now it seems that some kind of deal has been reached.

Why is this important? If you like to keep everything through one payment service using Google Pay will hopefully allow you to pay for all your subscription services through one payment method. So if your card ever expires you can get just update one account—not five.

The new app should be officially released shortly so keep your eyes on the Google Play store.
