Netflix is Rebooting “The Magic School Bus”

Did you grow up with the classic “The Magic School Bus” show? It has been 22 years since Ms. Frizzle last boarded the magic school bus to learn about science and outer space, now a new generation of kids will get to enjoy a classic show and a great way to learn about the world around them.

The reboot of “The Magic School Bus” was first announced in 2014, but since the announcement news has been scarce; however, thanks to TMZ we now have learned Netflix is currently filming the new series. No official release date has been announced but the fact that filming has started points to a late 2017 release of the new show.

Here is the TMZ video talking about the new “The Magic School Bus.”

That video features Stu Stone, the former voice of Ralphie. He apparently is not a regular on the show but will appear in the show in some form. We do not have full details of the casting, but we do know that many of the original cast members have signed on for new roles in the Netflix version of the show.

Netflix has recently had great success rebooting the 1990s TV show as “Fuller House,” and it has received positive feedback about its new Bill Nye science show.

Hopefully the new “The Magic School Bus” show will get the same high quality treatment other Netflix originals have.
