Netflix is Raising Their Prices in Canada

If you are a Netflix subscriber in Canda get ready to pay a higher price. As of today, new Netflix subscribers will have to pay a little bit more.

Netflix’s standard plan – which allows you to watch on two HD streams at a time, will now cost $10.99 a month. The basic plan, which is non-HD and only allows you to watch on one stream at a time, will be $8.99 a month. Subscribers on the premium 4K plan will have to fork over $13.99 monthly.

“From time to time, Netflix plans and pricing are adjusted as we add more exclusive TV shows and movies, introduce new product features and improve the overall Netflix experience to help members find something great to watch even faster,” Netflix said in a statement.

Yet don’t worry if you live outside of Canada as Netflix says “Price increases are unique to each market and Canada’s increase does not influence or indicate a change in any other region,” the company added. Netflix did not announce when current subscribers would see the price increase.

This news comes a week after CBS announced plans to launch CBS All Access in Canada sometime in 2018.
