Netflix Options the Rights to YA Novels by Sarah Dessen

Following the success of movie adaptions of YA novels like The Kissing Booth and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Netflix has made a deal for the rights to three novels from Sarah Dessen.

The three novels from the New York Times best-selling author include The Lullaby, Once and For All, and Along for the Ride.

Along for the Ride will be the first book to turned into a feature film. The story is about Auden and her summer spent with her dad and his new family after her parents’ divorce. In the charming beach town, she meets fellow insomniac Eli who becomes her nocturnal tour guide.

The Lullaby is the story of Remy, who breaks her “never date a musician” rule when she meets Dexter, and Once and For All follows a wedding planner who puts her own romantic life on the backburner while focusing on her clients.

With Dessen’s books published in over 30 countries and millions of copies sold worldwide, the film adaptations will reach a wide audience of rom com fans on Netflix.
