Netflix has added a download button for select films and TV shows, and plans to add more to the catalog of available titles in the future. Netflix is understandably starting with its original content, given the simpler licensing arrangements involved, with a launch slate for the feature that includes Orange is The New Black, Narcos and The Crown available for offline playback via download.

Many popular streaming series and movies are already available for download, with more on the way, and Netflix hopes to have plenty of content available for those times when you are offline. Many of the titles now available to download are Netflix Originals like, Orange is The New Black, Narcos and The Crown are available for download today.
The new feature is included in all plans and available for phones and tablets on Android and iOS.
