Netflix Just Released a New Feature No One Is Talking About

netflix-watchingStill receive DVDs from Netflix? There is a new feature you should check out. Not sure what to add to your DVD list? Now Netflix allows you to add curated lists of DVDs to your queues.

Netflix kicked off the new feature by creating a list of Oscar-nominated films, and you can add any of the Academy Awards categories to your DVD or Blu-ray list.

Think of the new “Add All” feature as a play list similar to what Netflix subscribers who stream receive.

Now you may be wondering why even get DVDs or Blu-rays? There are a few reasons. First Netflix has a much larger catalog of movies and TV shows available on disc that are not available on streaming. Also using Netflix’s disc service allows you to stay under your data cap that your internet service provider has enforced on you.

Only a fraction of Netflix users still receive DVDs: with over 74.8 million Netflix subscribers around the world only about 4.9 million of them still subscribe to their DVD service.

We have likely only just started to see Netflix use the “Add-all” feature, and we should expect Netflix to continue to add streaming curated lists to help make their DVD service continue to be attractive to subscribers.
