Netflix is Testing a New Picture-in-Picture Feature

Netflix is reportedly testing a new pop-out player feature with some users, according to Engadget.

With this feature, a small pop out box will allow you to watch content while doing other things by hovering in front of the windows and apps you have opened. To open the pop up, you’ll just click on an icon on the bottom toolbar while playing a TV episode or movie. The box is resizable and can be moved around on the screen, allowing full access to other apps that are opened.

There hasn’t been a formal announcement about the possibility of this new feature becoming available to all users, but Engadget reached out to Netflix to confirm and received a response that the feature is only a test.

Now that we know that most of us use a second device while watching streaming content, is this a feature that you’ll use to multitask while watching TV or movies? Let us know in the comments!
