Netflix is Testing a Cheaper Mobile Only Subscription

Looking for a way to save money? Only watch Netflix on your phone or tablet? Now Netflix is testing a cheaper mobile-only subscription. According to reports in Malaysia Netflix is testing a mobile-only option that costs about $4 USD each month.

This comes as Netflix CEO Reed Hastings recently said that Netflix would be testing lower-priced packages. The question now is will we ever see these packages available in the United States or will they be more focused on the international market. This international only package may make more sense internationally as it is often common for home internet services to be extremely expensive so many have turned to cheaper more widely available mobile internet options for phones and tablets.

For now, I wouldn’t be looking for a cheap $4 Netflix plan in the United States but it is very likely we may see Netflix expand this test into new markets around the world including North America.
