Netflix has always been tight lipped about its viewership numbers, remaining cryptic about actual data. But now, it looks like the streaming service is ready to be a little more transparent about viewing time on its originals.
Netflix has launched a Top Ten Page which will release weekly lists featuring the top TV shows and films on the service based on streaming minutes. The page will be published every Tuesday based on hours viewed from Monday to Sunday the previous week for both original and licensed titles.
The streaming service announced the new page launch on Twitter:
We’ve had a lot of feedback about our metrics over the years.

So we went back to the drawing board and today we’re excited to launch https://t.co/a9X2usRUun — a new website with weekly global and country lists of the most popular titles on Netflix as ranked by view hours pic.twitter.com/JMrvzmRv8s
In addition to ranking the Global Top Ten, the page will show the top streaming lists by country, from Argentina to Vietnam. This new page will provide insight into what viewers are watching, and how much time they’re spending in front of the TV.
