Netflix is Back Online After a Brief Outage

Netflix LogoIf you tried to use Netflix earlier today and received an Unexpected Error message, you aren’t alone. Netflix subscribers around the world were experiencing issues with the service this morning.

There were many different error messages showing up, with subscribers posting their screenshots on social media. On the website, errors were reading “Whoops, something went wrong… Unexpected Error. There was an unexpected error. Please reload the page and try again. For additional assistance in resolving this issue, please visit our Help Center.” On other devices, many users were getting a message saying that Netflix was experiencing “technical difficulties and actively working on a fix.”

“We are working to resolve the problem and we apologize for any inconvenience,” the company said on the website.

If you were one of the many Netflix users finding these error messages, the site and app should be back to normal now. Netflix has not commented on what the problem was, but we’ll be back with updates if we learn more.

Update: Netflix posted this message on Twitter, announcing that the problem causing the outage has been fixed.

To check on the status of Netflix at any time, you can visit this page of their help section which is updated frequently to give up to date information on any outages and issues the website is experiencing.
