Netflix Could be Picking Up NBC’s Canceled ‘Manifest’ for Season 4

Although NBC drama Manifest was canceled after three seasons despite a large fan following ad highly successful Netflix showing, there’s a new glimmer of hope that the series will be coming back to tie up loose ends. Deadline reports that both NBC and Netflix are in talks with WarnerBros TV about possibly renewing the series for a fourth season.

Manifest was one of the top 10 rankings on Netflix when it was canceled, and outraged fans took to Twitter pushing the #SaveManifest hashtag campaign, which looks like it may have worked. Netflix originally passed on the opportunity to bring Season 4 exclusively to streaming, but it looks like the streamer might be having a change of heart.

NBC might be in a better position to push things along now that complications with cast negotiations fell through on Good Girls, killing off season 5 of the comedy-drama. NBC’s Law and Order spinoff also got the ax, freeing up NBC’s slots and drama budget that can now be potentially funneled into a fourth season of Manifest.

The series has been a steady performer on Netflix, so if the streamer can reach a deal with Warner Bros over distribution rights, we may get to continue the story of the Montego Air Flight 828 passengers.
