Netflix Announces New ‘My Netflix’ App, Making Finding What You Want to Watch Even Easier

Today, Netflix announced the streaming service is making it easier to find something to watch for iOS users.

My Netflix is a “one-stop shop” that provides shortcuts to help you find what you want to watch quickly. You’ll be able to find your downloaded content as well as your saved series and films on ‘My List’. Any series or films you’ve given a thumbs up to will also be easily accessible through My Netflix.

Looking for something new to watch? My Netflix lets you set up reminders for content to stream and keep track of trailers you’ve viewed. What you save on Netflix will show up on your My Netflix app.

“Keep in mind that the more you interact with and tell Netflix what you like, such as saving more action-thrillers like Extraction 2 to My List or giving a thumbs up to every season of Bridgerton, the more you’ll see on the My Netflix tab,” said Netflix in an announcement today.

Videos you’ve already started watching will be easy to pull up as well. You can pick up right where you left off from other devices. My Netflix also includes a shortcut to a list of films and movies you’ve already watched.

My Netflix also lets you access the Home screen and can use the search features to find new programs to watch. It’s like a mini-version of Netflix to keep in your pocket. The entire Netflix content catalog is at your fingers.

To use My Netflix, download the app to your phone. My Netflix will show up as a little blue icon at the bottom right of the app screen. From there, you’ll find saved or downloaded content, as well as all the other shortcuts to make watching while out and about easy peasy.

My Netflix is available today on iOS. Android devices will get access starting in August.
