This has left many to wonder which service is the most popular with cord cutters. We know the overall numbers for both services, but what about with cord cutters? How does each service stand up when looking at just the growing cord cutting trend?

To answer this question, we surveyed over 2,000 of our readers last week and asked them what streaming services they use. According to our readers, both Netflix and Amazon had 72.6% of the vote. Netflix had exactly one more vote than Amazon.

What is shocking is how far ahead Netflix and Amazon are to their next closest competitor, Hulu, which had just 39% of the vote.

This puts Netflix and Amazon in a world of their own. Even the most popular live TV streaming service, DIRECTV NOW, has only 29.8% of the vote. The question now is who will pull away.

Both Netflix and Amazon have an equal opportunity to dominate the world of cord cutting, and they both are spending millions to grow their original programming to find the next must-see TV that will help them drive up subscriber numbers.

If you had to pick one service, would you subscribe to Netflix or Amazon?
