Netflix is making it easier for kids to find new shows and movies and for parents to stay on top of what their kids are watching, with the addition of two new features.
For the kids, Netflix is launching Top 10 rows to make content discovery easier. Like the Top 10 rows on the regular version of the service, the rows on Netflix for kids will feature the most popular content on Netflix in your country.
The list will be updated daily, featuring age appropriate shows and movies. Those titles will also get the Top 10 badge. The Top 10 row will be available on TV apps, web, and mobile devices.
For parents, Netflix is introducing biweekly Kids Recap Emails. Beginning Friday, the emails will be sent to account holders who have a kids’ profile set up under their account. The email will include a recap of the themes of shows the child has been watching, recommendations based on what the child has been watching, printable activity sheets featuring favorite characters, and tips for using Kids features on Netflix.
