Matt LeBlanc’s Friends spin-off Joey just made an unexpected comeback almost two decades after its cancellation and for the first time ever, U.S. viewers can finally watch the eight episodes NBC never aired (even on Peacock).
Warner Bros. has made all 46 episodes of the short-lived sitcom available on the official Friends YouTube channel. As Deadline reported, the platform has been uploading the series throughout the year, and the remaining eight episodes (previously released only in international markets) are now accessible to American audiences for the first time.

What Made NBC “Pivot” Away From Joey
Joey originally aired from 2004 to 2006, premiering just four months after Friends ended its 10-season run. Despite a strong start with the pilot drawing 18.6 million viewers in the Thursday-night timeslot inherited from Friends, the ratings dipped significantly over the two seasons.
NBC ultimately canceled the show in May 2006. Eight completed episodes never made it to air domestically, though they did appear on various international networks. Until now, U.S. fans had no legal way to watch the show in full. Unlike Friends, which can be found on Hulu, HBO Max, and other places, Joey’s conclusion was lost in the abyss.
What ‘Joey’ Was About
The series followed Joey Tribbiani as he moved to Los Angeles to continue his acting career, reconnecting with his sister Gina (Drea de Matteo) and moving in with her genius son Michael (Paulo Costanzo). The cast also included Andrea Anders, Jennifer Coolidge, Miguel A. Núñez Jr., and Ben Falcone. Behind the scenes, the show was developed by Friends alums Scott Silveri and Shana Goldberg-Meehan, with Kevin S. Bright returning as executive producer.
Though Joey never reached Friends-level success, the spin-off still holds a dedicated niche following and the release of these final eight episodes finally gives the series the complete ending fans never got.
If you ever wondered how Joey wrapped up, or you’re just curious to revisit a forgotten slice of Friends TV history, now’s the time. All 46 episodes are officially online and streaming for free. How you doin’?
