Round 2 of the 2022 NBA Playoffs continues with a pair of Game 2 contests. The Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers are looking to tie their respective series with wins on the road tonight.
In the early game, the Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat look to get off to a hot start by closing out their homestand against the Sixers with a win. The Sixers will be without Joel Embiid again for tonight’s contest which means they’ll have to get more out of backup big men: Paul Millsap, DeAndre Jordan, and Paul Reed. The Sixers bigs allowed Heat center Bam Adebayo to score a team-high 24 points in Miami’s 106-92 Game 1 win.
In the late game, Luka Doncic and the Mavs look to rebound at Phoenix after losing 121-114 in Game 1. Doncic had a game-high 45 points but didn’t have a single teammate that scored over 20 points. The Mavs allowed two Suns to score over 20 (Deandre Ayton – 25 points and Devin Booker – 23 points) , plus Chris Paul had 19 points. If the Mavs aren’t able to get the most out of every player on the roster then they’ll be in trouble when the series heads to Dallas for Game 3.
