MoviePass Brings Back Their Movie a Day Plan

Recently MoviePass pulled their unlimited plan and replaced it with a deal that let you see 4 movies a month for $9.95 a month. Now MoviePass is bringing back their unlimited plan that lets you see a movie every day for just $9.95.

“We never planned to abandon the flagship product that everybody loves,” said MoviePass CEO Mitch Lowe in an interview with Variety. “Any time we’ve done a promotional package, we’ve taken the monthly plan off our site.”

“It’s marketing 101,” he said. “We wanted to focus everybody on this partnership promotion. If people knew the [movie-a-day] plan was coming back, they might not be interested in the iHeartRadio deal.”

Looking for something a little cheaper? Right now MoviePass is also offering a $7.95 a month plan that will give you 3 movies per month and 3 months of iHeartRadio All-Access.

Some of the new limits are still in place as MoviePass is still limiting the number of times a customer can see the same movie. Now Moviepass customers both new and old can only see a movie once. You do also get a free 3 month trial of iHeartRadio All-Access.

Movie pass has issued the following statement about the change. “We recently made some updates to our Terms of Service, including the policy that MoviePass subscribers are only permitted to see any movie in the theaters once with their MoviePass. This falls within our continued effort to limit fraud on our app and has been effective in doing so in the past.”
