Most Philo Subscribers Also Subscribe to YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, Etc

Watching TV, Watching, Living Room, Domestic Life, SmilingToday at the National Association of Broadcasters Conference Ben Chambers, CTO at Philo, gave a presentation where he announced that most Philo subscribers also subscribe to other live TV streaming services.

Chambers pointed out YouTube TV and PlayStation Vue but said Philo is also being partnered with other streaming services.

Many have seen Philo’s $16 a month service as a better option rather than getting a more expensive version of services like PlayStation Vue. With a Philo and PlayStation Vue bundle not only do you get most of the channels of PlayStation Vue’s Elite package but also many that are not offered on PlayStation Vue for only $1 more a month.

With the average cost of cable TV and Satellite TV costing $107 a month according to Fortune for just TV and Philo plus YouTube TV costing just $56 a month, you can see why many would pick this option. It has also been shown that over half of cable TV subscribers also pay for services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon.

It seems that many cord cutters are happy to go through multiple apps if it gives them the channels they want at a price that makes it worth it. Services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon have prepared many streamers to easily jump back and forth between different apps.
