The crime drama series MobLand sits alone at the mountaintop on Paramount+ after delivering 8.8 million viewers in its first seven days during its global premiere. Executive produced by Guy Ritchie, the series quadrupled its audience, up 298% from premiere day, making it the biggest global series launch week ever on Paramount+.
The series is Ritche’s first TV series for the platform, and it focuses on two rival crime families in London. Starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, MobLand was created and written by Ronan Bennett (Top Boy and The Day of the Jackal) and written by Jez Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari and Spectre). The series is Buttersworth’s second hit show on Paramount+, following the 2024 debut of the thriller The Agency.
MobLand premiered exclusively on Paramount+ on Sunday, March 30, in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia. The crime drama will be released in other Paramount+ international markets soon, with its debut in Italy, Germany, France, Brazil, and Latin America on Friday, May 30.
