MLB Will Not Auto-Renew MLB.TV, Amid Social Media Pushback

Major League Baseball is currently going through a lockout between the MLBPA and the league’s 30 owners, and the league announced today that MLB TV subscriptions will not auto-renew as scheduled on March 1.

Traditionally, MLB TV subscriptions auto-renew around the first of March, with the season-long subscription price of $129.99, but due to the lockout, MLB fans have been encouraging other subscribers to cancel their subscription as there will not be any baseball games until an agreement has been reached. Not only have fans been vocal, but they’ve been screenshotting their cancelation by using the hashtag #CancelMLBTV on Twitter.

The league has not announced any more information in regards to when the lockout will be over, or when 2021 MLB TV subscriptions will auto-renew.
